One of College of Marin’s strategic plan objectives is to implement teaching and learning strategies that improve student success. Students working together on projects in class is an active and collaborative learning best practice that is known to help students succeed. According to the results of the 2014 Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE), a higher percentage of COM students work on class projects together than do students in the national comparison group (58% versus 50%).
